How do i create custom property as clickable url in contact

I need to create a custom property in contacts which will contain companies profile url and it should be clickable and redirect to profile page. How to do?

I had this question  for the contact screen where all of the contacts are.

I have not tried rich text. If it automatically converts pasted text to link that may work, but if the dialog box has to be used that would add that extra step.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but the option is currently unavailable. However, this is a similar idea: Custom property of type URL.

I encourage you to vote for it as the more votes it receives, the higher the likelihood that the product team will review it. This, in turn, increases the chances of it being implemented in the future.

I would like to bump up this idea as well. Would be handy and very user-friendly for the users of the CRM to be able to create URL clickable properties that are also clickable in the records overview page - like the object name and the associated objects.

Single line text properties automatically detect if they contain a URL and display a 'click to open' icon when viewed on the contact record:

Yes but it would be ideal to be able to do this from a pipeline view and not to have to open the contact or deal.

Sure, that works. But why don't just make another type of input choice aswell? Maybe a "Hyper link"-choise? Today i can choose from singleline and multiline for this purpose, but if we are gonna use this function i know that me and my colleagues will be annoyed..

Ok that works in the conact's profile but not in a list of contact. In a specific list of contacts displaying some columns I choosed, there isn't a button allowing me to click in order to directly open that url in a new tab. And it is quite painful for SDR teams who only work in this list view and need to open the company's website, linkedin profile, etc.

Hi @wladjdeb, a good question.

I don't have a perfect solution but it's pretty good. You can open that link from the contact list page with a total of two clicks. First the preview button then that actual URL. Image below:
