How clicks were registered in tracked email

Hi,

I'm using sales pro for a month.

May I know how does Hubspot register a link click in the email tracking?

- Does Hubspot register a click the second the user click, or when the page has fully loaded?

- What if the user clicks the link and it takes too long to load and user decide to close the page?

Hey @Engchieh911 

Tracked links will appear in the following format in the email received by your contact:

http://t.sidekickopen.com/e1t/c../../www.hubspot.com.../

This temporary redirection to the t.sidekickopen.com domain is necessary for HubSpot to register and track link clicks. The link will automatically redirect to the final URL destination (e.g. www.hubspot.com) when clicked. This page must fully load for a track to be logged. 

If a raw URL that is not clickable is added into an email (e.g. www.hubspot.com), the link will not be tracked.
