How can i update associated primary companies of contacts by import?

I've checked many different topics here but couldn't find a solution. Maybe we are doing something wrong but help is highly appreciated.
1- We create multinational companies with same domains. For example;
domain: hubspot.com
Company 1: Hubspot USA (Child company)
Company 2: Hubspot GER (Child company)
Company 3: Hubspot ESP (Child company)
Company 4: Hubspot Global (Parent company)
2- There are contacts created before. Most of them are associated to Hubspot Global as primary company. Some of the are associated with more than 1 (like Hubspot Global as primary, and Hubspot GER) companies.
What i'm trying to do is to associate a single contact with a single company. I can't use workflows, that's why i'm looking for a possible solution by importing.

You're welcome! If the import isn’t updating the Primary Company, try first removing the existing company association before re-importing. Unfortunately, HubSpot doesn't allow direct overrides of Primary Company through import alone.
A workaround is to export your contacts with their current associations, remove the unwanted primary company manually (or via API if you have access), and then re-import with the correct Primary Company ID. If you're dealing with a large dataset, you might need a third-party tool like Skyvia, which can help automate updates more effectively.

HubSpot has some quirks when handling multiple company links.
Since workflows aren’t an option, the key is structuring your import file correctly. First, prepare your import file with columns for Contact Email, Company Domain Name, and Primary Company ID, this last one is crucial to setting the right primary company.
If you don’t have the Company ID, export your companies from HubSpot first to grab those values. Next, make sure your data is clean. Since some contacts are already associated with multiple companies, your import needs to explicitly set the Primary Company ID to override any previous settings. If necessary, remove unwanted associations manually before importing.
When you’re ready to import, go to Contacts -> Import -> Start an Import, select File from Computer, then choose One File -> Multiple Objects and map the fields correctly. Make sure the Primary Company is mapped to the Company ID.

I've tried this but it didn't work for existing contacts. For example I'd like to change a contact's Primary Company, but couldn't be able to manage it.
