Google contact sync to hubspot one way creating duplicates in both hubspot and google
SOLVE
Hello community,
This issue is about Google Contacts sync app by Hubspot.
I have two companies. In one company, I have synced bi-directional contact sync with one gmail ID say Gmail-1. And it is working fine.
Same settings I applied to another company with different Gmail ID say Gmail-2 and its creating duplicates. Here is my problem.
I have attached my google sync settings screenshots also in this post.
I installed google contacts sync app, authenticated one email ID and in sync settings only chose one way. i.e From Google to Hubspot. Also in the next screen, I unchecked "sync contact with valid email only" because I also want my contacts whose phone numbers are enough for me. That's it.
It imports all contacts to my hubspot totally fine. After 15-20 minutes, something happens and it syncs contacts again and imports duplicate contacts in hubspot. Not only hubspot but now I see duplicates in Google also. It keeps increasing from say 2000 to 4000 to 6000 and so on. My rule clearly says FROM GOOGLE TO HUBSPOT. Then why hubspot is sending data to google?
This is creating mess in both my hubspot and google. Solution?
1. On the duplicate contacts in HubSpot, have you checked the "create date" property details to see if they have actually been created by this integration or by another tool? 2. Are you seeing any error message on the integration? 3. Are the duplicates only in HubSpot? 4. You'd like to have Google as your source of truth for contacts, right? 5. Have you made any changes on the Google side?
The more info, screenshots (without sensitive/confidential information), and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist.
I'd be happy to put you in touch with some of our Community Members who are also using this integration: Hi @fborgosano, @juanplomeli, @KelsReyes did you experience a similar situation? Do you have any tips to help @KGhub, please?
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @johnelmer, @GreyHamilton and @beeginman do you have suggestions to help @KGhub, please?
If anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation 🙂
