Google Calendar meetings aren't connected with Hubspot

Hello, 

We have the following situation:

Let's say we scheduled a meeting into the Google Calendar normal. As usual. We are talking with the client, and we give them a meeting request through Google Calendar. 

Now, the situation is that we want the meetings we've booked through Google Calendar to be seen in the activity on the contacts/deals. 

What is a workaround for this?

Hi guys, 
I added google meet integration so that I am able to book meetings directly in HubSpot. 
Everything works well, but I have issues when it comes to my customer having to ask for permission to join the meeting. Is it any way to avoid this permission, so that the link is open for anyone to join.

Can you solve the problem between these 2 applications? Husbpot is saying that there is an event so it is blocking my open slot schedule, which resulted that clients are not booking their calls on my calendar. Any help will be appreciated.

Update to my solution:

Hi all,

I recevied some assistance to my situation for Yushu, a memeber on the support team. I hope this helps others if they have a similair situation while testing.

HubSpot automatically prevents any events from being added for members of your organization based on email domain (your portal’s target and connected domains), and existing users.

My test email used was also a user in my portal, my meetings did not appear due to this.

I have found a very simple solution. I will put it here maybe it will help others as well. 

There is a way to sync automatically the Google Calendar with Hubspot contacts/deals. 

1. Go to any deal. 

2. Click on "Meet" button, is on the left,  near the others: Note, Email, Call, Log, Task, Meet

3. You have near "Save", something with connect google calendar/sync google calendar. 

4. Connect the Google Calendar, sync it. It just a few clicks. 

5. Issue solved easily automatically. 

NOW, all the meetings you have on Google Calendars, it will automatically be synced within Hubspot.

There's a new weird behavior which only my prospect receives the invitation generated by HubSpot, but it doesn't shows up into my Calendar (same e-mail as the user).

Could you please provide us what were the steps taken when booking this meeting? Is your calendar connected to HubSpot? Did the prospected booked the meetings using the HubSpot meetings link?

Hi @rahulraj,

As explained in the error message you would need access to lists in order to connect the app. I'd recommend reaching out to a super admin in your portal to get access (https://knowledge.hubspot.com/settings/hubspot-user-permissions-guide).

I tried reaching out to him, and he says he hasn't received any emailer.

When I retry it says that the email has already been sent, any way to resend this emailer?

The superadmin can also give you permissions without that email by following the steps in this article .

It was fixed itself, probably an API temporary problem.

The steps were booking the meeting, selecting my prospect contact with the required information to accomplish the booking.

Only prospect was receiving the meeting invite in Calendar, now I'm also receiving it.

We use the Google Calendar sync with Hubspot and we also use Calendly for booking. Calendly bookings are logged in a custom calendar in Google, not my personal calendar. Is there any way to sync the custom/shared calendars fron Google Calendar to Hubspot?

I'm referring to tip #1 from this article https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/google-calendar-tips on the Hubspot blog. We're using this feature to keep certain calendars separate, but they're still relevant for Hubspot.

I had that same setup and we were getting duplicate meetings. Are you having that issue?

Besides using the integration from Calendly and HubSpot, are you currently using the option on this article here?

The Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar sync with HubSpot allows you to simultaneously log a meeting in your CRM.
