Getting started with your database in Hubspot is straightforward but there are a number of steps you can take to get ready.

1. Academy - Academy CRM 

These courses will give a full overview of the CRM, how to import, lists etc

Step by step to understanding CRM

3. Lifecycle Stages - https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/use-lifecycle-stages

This will be a key property to add to the database before import as it will enable better lists

5. Creating custom properties - https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/manage-your-properties

These can be added if you have specific properties in your existing database that are not already in Hubspot
