Forms on my website don't always work

Hello,

I have a contact us form on our website and for some reason when some of my clients fill it out, I don't get the email with their info. I can't figure out why because other times it does work and I have tested several times and when I test it works. But then client shows me they submitted, and I don't get it. What could be going on? (this is not a hubspot form, it is my form on my wordpress website (I use Divi theme).

Thank you!

Hey @KRM are you using Non-HubSpot forms or a forms integration? I really wouldn't advise using non-HubSpot forms as a long term solution, I'd advise either using HubSpot forms or integrating your forms via the API or a third party integration.

Non-HubSpot forms is a script that runs on the visitors browser and attempts to capture what it can from the form HTML. It doesn't "plug in" to anything on your form, it just looks for HTML on the loaded page on the visitors browser.

This means that slow internet speeds, firewalls, browser extensions, even just older or less common browser versions could all affect how the submissions are captured, it's completely to the mercy of the visitors browser. It's impossible to gurantee any submissions on non-HubSpot forms as it's entirely reliant both on your website build and the visitors browser. Missing submissions is just par for the corse of using a tool like that really, it's really designed more as an interim/onboarding tool to help get your first submissions into HubSpot while you either integrate your forms or move to HubSpot forms.

Hi @KRM ,

The problem with 3rd party form is they are really hard to diagnose, you would be better off contacting support of Divi (or any other form plugin you are using) as I see the issue is occurring on the form side.

Curious, what is stopping you from using HubSpot forms? They are super advanced and they are the best out there for most use cases.
