Follow up on inactive deals

SOLVE

Hello everybody, this is my 1st post in here.
I was wondering if it's possible to create a worflow for adding a follow up task to the owner of an inactive deal.
But I wouldn't focus on closed won/lost stages of course.

I started with something like this (image attaced below). The problem is that if I create a new deal in stage 1, the workflow is going to create immediatly a follow up task.  How can I fix it?

Follow up on inactive deals

Hi @DFanesi,

I would set up the enrollment criteria as follows:

The key is using the "is more than" filter, not "has not been updated". The issue is probably that "has not been updated" is also true for a property that has always been empty, for example. With the "is more than" filter however, the workflow will always postpone the task creation into the future. It'll always start counting 20 days.

Additionally, I'd exclude deals where a next activity is scheduled, such as a meeting or task. Otherwise owners might receive reminders for deals that they already have something scheduled for.

Also, last activity includes last contacted, no need to add it:

  • Last activity date: the last time a note, chat conversation, call, email, meeting, or task was logged for a deal. This is updated automatically by HubSpot.
  • Last contacted: the last time a chat conversation, call, sales email, or meeting was logged for this deal. This is set automatically by HubSpot based on user actions.

Best regards!

Hi Karsten, I've moved forward a bit.
So I want to add another task when there's no next activity scheduled that has been planned. How does this sounds to you? Could you please give me a feedback?

Hi @karstenkoehler thank you for helping me in figuring out how to solve it. I'm going to test you solution.
About the last activity date: I also included the last contacted since different activities were mentioned in the explaination text. So maybe I've made a mistake
