Follow Up Task Notifications Not Working

I used to be able to click the option 'Create a task to follow up' and select '3 days' and in three days a notification would pop up. 

This no longer happens. It stopped months ago after I clicked 'archive' notifications and I haven't received a reminder in notifications since.

Important to mention is that I have tried the suggested steps in notifications settings.

I have also set the task reminders but notifications are still not coming through.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone knew how to resolve this issue.

@PMerillo  Are you referencing just the in-app notifications or email notifications also?
