I get the same thing as you, no associated company or contact records, even if they show in the columns.
The only workaround that I can think of is to copy the records you'd like to see into the notes field, as those will export. Of course, you'd have to have access to Workflows to accomplish this automatically.
I'd assume eventually this would be part of the export; it's very logical.

Josh, I really need this workaround to include an Associated Contact record with the task(s) on an export, but I don't quite understand your steps. I have access to Workflows, but not sure how to build what you suggest into one. Can you explain further, please?
