Emails not appearing in contact record

SOLVE

I have connected my office 365 online account (not the outlook app). The hubspot extension is showing (not greyed out)  and I can click through to the contact record from my 365 mail inbox.  Emails sent from the contact record show up ok. No emails sent from my 365 inbox show in the client record. I have ticked the log emails boxes in my 365 inbox sales extension .

Please advise why emails are not appearing.

Hey @MarcusT 

 

Usually, it takes a few minutes for the email to appear on the contact record. Could you please double check if the email has been logged on the contact record? 

 

If you still having this issue could you please verify the following?

 

1. Make sure that your emails are being sent as HTML, not plain text.  

2. The emails that you're sending aren't being sent to contacts with the same domain as you.

3. The email address that the emails are sent from is a user in the Hubspot portal.

 

We usually recommend to uninstall and re-install the Hubspot Sales extension-

Emails not appearing in contact record

SOLVE

I have discovered via your chat support that I have to manually request that every email be logged, if I sent it from my 365 inbox. This is not good. This is like going back in time to an old fashioned CRM I had years ago. I thought Hubspot was a little more advanced than that!

 

So if I press the HubSpot button, it logs. If I don't it doesn't. Not sure why software, that is so good in many other ways, is lacking such a basic feature?
