Emails and Notes

SOLVE

Is it possible in the settings in Hubspot to have hubspot indicate when there is an unread email or note.  A bit like on any App on your phone when there is a message a red dot appears.  Otherwise you have to go in to the email or notes tab to see if there is anything in there?

Hi @JGray30,

This does not exist, no, unless you set up workflows to specificy send you in-app notifications. Sending in-app notifications is an option in workflows and you could specify that whenever there are certain changes on a contact record, you would want to send such a notification.

Keep in mind however that there aren't any activity based workflows and re-enrollment based on new activites in contact-based workflows is only possible via workarounds, limiting enrollment to once a day. It's not optimal.

In other words, while you can approximate what you're trying to do, there isn't really a clean, satisfying way to do this.

As an alternative, you can always filter for records and sort them by "Last activity date", but this wouldn't tell you if you already looked at them or not.

In addition to what Karsten suggested, another item I build into Workflows is the creation of assigned Tasks when there are important elements I think people need to see and be aware of.

A Task will generate an in-app notification also and users can use the Tasks list to look at all their assigned tasks.
