Emails Opened in Contacts Customized Column is not correct

In the Contacts section, I added the column Emails Opened. There is no data coming through for this column despite the fact that contacts have opened emails. I can see that they opened an email when I click on the contact's information.

The Emails Opened property records the number of 'marketing' emails that the contact has opened and does not count or include sales emails. Could this explain the difference you are seeing?

Then it should be more clearly stated what email it is referring to. I do sales emails not marketing emails. It would be nice to know what fields it's actually referring to.
