Emailing a non-contact from a Company/Deal

Trying to figure out if there's a simpler way to email contacts outside of a company or deal through the CRM.

Our sales process involves sending an internal email once a deal is Closed Won using a HubSpot created template (which works great), but we only have the option of sending it to an associated contact of the company or deal. We need to be able to send these to our sales leadership team internally.

Currently the only way is by associated the contacts we made for ourselves with that company or deal, which is not ideal as it pre-populates the "To" field with the actual company contact(s). We don't want this email going to the client, only internal correspondence. 

A free form field to enter ANY email address would be the most ideal scenario, but at the least, the ability to remove the company contact and enter any in the CRM would be a work around.

Short A: Easy to use a workflow if you have Marketing Pro. (see images)

If you only have Sales Pro, you may use a workflow to Create a Task &/or Send an Internal SMS. (see image).

 

It ain't email, but hey ... it's a notification of a deal 'Closed Won'. Yay!

Any way to have this work for non-internal contacts? Would like a custom email (not hubspot notification email) to go to specific non-team contacts that are also not associated with the deal.

Hi @KM1,

You can specify an email address within the workflow, however the user would be associated with every contact/deal that goes through the workflow. Under "send internal email", you can type in a static email address.

Thanks for the info Frank. Definitely a workaround, but not ideal (not fault to you!). If that email function that is available in the Marketing Hub was available in the Sales Pro Hub, it would be perfect!

Thanks for pointing this out. Here's hoping HubSpot makes this available to us on the Sales side!
