Hi all,
Tried searching to see if this question has been raised but couldn't find a relevant post, hope someone can help with a quick question!
With a deal's close date, will that deal's page stop logging emails received from contacts after that close date?
We're an edutech company, and our first stage of a deal is to visit a school for a demonstration of our software. We currently set the close date to be the date of the demonstration, but continue nurturing prospects because deals can take many months to close.
I received an email from a prospect we demo'd in July - this email shows up on the contact's company page, but not on their deal page even though the contact is associated with both the company and deal.

Hi @DanielCENTURY,
Emails can continue to log to deals after the close date has passed, however if the deal has closed then emails won't log.
In this case are the deals closed, or is it just the closed date that has past?

Hi Jenny,
It's just the deal's close date that had passed. It seems that the issue is that the email that I thought was missing, didn't show on the deal because the email chain it was in originated from before the deal - does that sound about right?

Hi @DanielCENTURY,
That makes sense for sure! Great troubleshooting! Emails that began before the deal was created won't be logged on the deal timeline either.
