Hi, it seems that a new user registers with a new email address will be regarded as an update of the email address? This will cause the unsubscribe property to be overwritten, even if the user chooses not to subscribe (as the photo shows). And only when the user registers again with the registered email address will uns be correctly written.
In my case the contact was subscribed to our emails. Then they submitted a form with a change of email address only and this action caused the "unsubscribed from all email" field to become TRUE. They then didn't receive any further emails from us until we manually subscribed them again. Why does a simple change to an email address cause unsubscribed from all email to become true? Surely only an unsubscribe action from an email should cause this. I have seen this behaviour several times. Thanks!
The "unsubscribed from all email" property is updated in HubSpot automatically based on a user's action after receiving a marketing email. HubSpot clears the value of the unsubscribe from all the email property when a new contact is added to your CRM.
Once the contact takes action in a marketing email such as selecting "Unsubscribe From All Email Communications" this property will be updated to reflect their email action.
You can read more about the unsubscribed from all email property in this knowledge base article.
Hope this helps!
Best,
Kristen
