Help! We were updating the dropdown select options in one of our properties. We tried to delete one in order to replace it with an updated option. Somehow we lost ALL of our dropdown options in this property field. The data is still on our customer card (it now has a red line under it) But we no longer have any drop down options on that property. They are all gone. How can we fix this and get our original drop down options back and restore to what it was 10 minutes ago?
Unfortunately you cannot get the values for the deleted dropdown option. You have to add them again and then give values in the records. You can restore records (Contacts/Companies/Deals/Tickets) and even properies within 90 days of deletion ...but not the drop-down options that too with values.
Hope this helps!

It seems like there is still some confusion: If you know the earlier values, you can re-add them and the original state will be restored after you have re-added them. Contacts will have their earlier values again. I have tested this behavior in my own portal and was able to restore the before-state.
While you can't re-select them easily from a bin, you can type them in again. If you need do not remember these values because there are too many, you can either check existing contacts or create a quick report.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions or need more guidance. It seems like you accepted a solution that is not quite correct.

You should be able to simply re-create the earlier option/value. Whatever you see underlined in red on the contact record, add that exactly as an option for your property again. For example, if your options were A, B and C and you deleted C, simply re-add C. (I just tried it in my own portal and it worked.)
If that works, you can then rename the property value. (This should be your default action if you want to change a property option. If you want to change an option, rename it. It will keep the original internal name but you can always change the external name.)
Let me know how you get on!

We have 25 options in this property list. If we re-add them all will all of our historic data work as well as new data? This is major property that is used for sorting, searching, and organizing our customers.
If you added new property options, there won't be any contacts that have this option yet anyway. And yes, your only option is to re-add all of the options you deleted previously.
When you delete an option, you make all of its occurrences "invalid", hence the red underline.

I understand that but I only tried to delete one option in the drop down box and somehow it deleted all of the options in that drop down. I had clicked one item and left the other 24 alone. Then it cleared all of them....Ugh! So you don't know of any way to get them back except for re-adding each of them?
