I and my co-workers are dealing with an issue: sometimes, when we make a new contact within a company that is already created, it will automatically make a new company to associate to the contact. This is troublesome, because duplicate companies are now being made for just one contact.
We already have the "Create and associate companies with contacts” checkbox deselected- yet the issue persists. Some help on this would be greatly appreciated.
This doesn't sound like HubSpot is creating these duplicates (although it's possible). Can you identify a duplicate company and open their company records? Please click "View all properties" in the left sidebar (at the end of the "About this company section"), then search for "Create date". Hover over Create date and click on the Details button that should appear.
Can you please share screenshots of what you see in the right sidebar that pops open?
