I'd like to customize and consolidate the list of default Industries shown in the Industry property for Companies. There's a scary info tip on the Industry properties screen that says the Internal Value can't be edited once created. Are there any drawbacks or gotchas for deleting unused industries in the list?
@PamCotton I appreciate the response, but let me clarify that I'm interested in deleting some of the options (labels) from the Dropdown menu in the Industry Property. I am not attempting to delete the Property itself.
If I delete an unused label and its associated internal value, for example, how likely is it that I break some unknown workflow? And what happens if I delete an unused label now, but decide I want to recreate it later? Is the deleted label and its associated internal value permanently unavailable for re-use?
Finding no response, I attempted to proceed with deleting unused Industry options from the Industry property dropdown. It turns out it is not possible to delete HubSpot defaults, even for unused options. Pity.
