Do “Create date is before/after” filters include or exclude the selected date?

I’m updating a deal-based workflow setup and need to confirm how date filters behave.

I’m splitting enrollment between two workflows:

  • Workflow A: Create date is before September 15, 2025

  • Workflow B: Create date is after September 14, 2025

I want to replace Workflow A with Workflow B, but I need to make sure deals don't slip through or get picked up by both.

My question is: Do these filters include the selected date, or are they exclusive?

My assumption is:

  • “Is before September 15” includes deals up to Sept 14 at 23:59

  • “Is after September 14” starts from Sept 15 at 00:00

So a deal created on September 14 should go into Workflow A only, and one from September 15 into Workflow B.

I haven’t found an official KB confirming this for workflows specifically, only for lists or general timestamp logic. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks!

"Before" and "After" filters EXLCUDE the selected date. So your assumption is correct.

My assumption is:

  • “Is before September 15” includes deals up to Sept 14 at 23:59

  • “Is after September 14” starts from Sept 15 at 00:00

Additionally, I want to emphasize that it's wise to wait a few hours before triggering anything customer-facing. This will help avoid sending emails to recipients at midnight.

But ultimately, the "Before" and "After" filters do not include the selected date. Your assumption is correct.
