Different Contact/Company Types

Is it possible to create different company/contact templates, with specific custom fields based on the company/contact type? 

For a "company" record example: If the company "type" field is selected as "client" then for certain custom fields to show that are only relevant to this particular company type. For example: "date joined", "annual revenue" etc

This would not be relevant or needed for a different company "type" such as Media - which in turn would need its own custom fields. 

I've seen this in most other CRM/sales platforms but can't seem to find it in Hubspot.

Unfortunatly, this isn't supported in the HubSpot CRM currently. I recommend you post if over in the ideas forum to see if others agree with you that it would be a useful feature.
