When we connect dial pad with HubSpot and make a call from hubspot it automatically dials and dialpad. But the call is not recording in the company or the deal and HubSpot. The phone number is actually making its own profile separate from where it should record and remain
@EClosings not sure if you're still using Dialpad, but we've done integration work between the tools and can maybe shed some light on a few things.
1. Dialpad looks for E.164 or local formatted numbers. If your HubSpot phone numbers don't match that exactly, you'll have "duplicates" created. A workflow that formats all phone numbers to a standard format is needed to prevent this from happening.
2. As long as the contact is associated with a Company and/or a Deal, the call should be associated to these records. 3. Missed calls without voicemails don't show up in HubSpot on the Contact, Deal, or Company timeline. You have to have a custom webhook setup in Dialpad to do this.
This doesn't cover everything but are some of the most common things we get questions on. Hope that helps!
If you call DialPad, they can turn off the "create a new contact" function. The integration is not usable for us without it being turned off and there is currently nowhere in settings for you to do it yourself.

I understand that you are using this integration "Dialpad", is that right please?
@HEagle are you still using the Dialpad integration? If yes, do you also experience that please?
This is a third-party integration that has not been developed by HubSpot but from what I can see on this documentation here: "you have the option to create new HubSpot contacts from Dialpad, match existing HubSpot contacts to Dialpad contacts, and go between the two platforms with ease."
If that is not the behavior that you are seeing, I'd recommend you to contact the provider of this integration. Here are the contact details:
We are not currently using the dialpad integration. It never worked for what we needed at the time & we are currently exploring switching entirely to Aircall!
I apologize that I can't be of further assistance.
