Determining if my company needs to move from a free to a paid account.
SOLVE
My company is currently successfully using a free HubSpot account. I am trying to determine if we need to move to a paid account as we grow.
I am hoping someone can answer the following questions for me about the free version. I could not find a feature comparison that included the free version. If I missed it and someone can share it, I would appreciate it.
Is there a maximum number of contacts we can have?
Can we manage user permissions so that we can restrict which contacts, deals, etc people can see/access?
Is there a limit to the number of e-mails we can track/store each month?
Are there any limitations on assigning and tracking tasks?
Are there any limitations on the number of deals we can enter and track?
No, besides technical limits that I haven't reached in any of the many many portals I have managed over the years

All of what you're asking can be done in the free CRM but you'll notice that some quality of life features are behind a pay wall. Other things you're not explicitly asking for are as well, e.g. multiple deal pipelines (paid), all kinds of automation, limits to how many templates and snippets you can create etc.
Luckily, HubSpot will always point out to you when you're hitting one of those limits.
@johnelmer -- I don't see anything about a maximum number of users included in the free version when I review the link you shared. Is there a maximum number of users who can access the free version?

There has been some periodic confusion over whether there are limits to the number of users in a Free CRM account. This link https://www.hubspot.com/products/crm says:
Enjoy unlimited data and up to 1,000,000 contacts with no time limit or expiration date — whether you're a team of 1 or 1,000.
Generally, users of the free CRM won't hit user limits, you'll run into other limits first. There maybe a threshold at 250 or 500 (which is not documented on the website) at which point a user increase add-on has to be purchased. But typically, you run into other issues before you arrive at that number.
