Deleting contact profiles: does all contact info and communication history stay on company profile

SOLVE

Hello,

I am just wondering if you have a connected company profile and contact profile, and you delete the contact profile do you keep all information and communication history you had with that client?

My boss wants to minimize and just have the added contact info on company profiles, and not use contact profiles at all. We have contact profiles for almost all of our company profiles but we want to retain all information and history that was recorded on both of these profile types.

Thank you very much, and have a nice day.

Deleting contact profiles: does all contact info and communication history stay on company profile

SOLVE

Hello @DarianNewell

Before deleting HubSpot contacts, consider the data that will be lost or affected.

  • The interaction data and timeline activity in the contact records will be deleted,             including:
  • Form submission data
  • Website visit information
  • List membership data (e.g., information of them being part of static lists)
  • Data from integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Wistia, GoToWebinar, SurveyMonkey)
  • Lifecycle stage transition data
  • Information about custom event completion (Marketing Hub Enterprise only)

Since you mentioned about companies, please note: only the contact's timeline activity will be deleted. If the contact has an associated company, deal, or ticket, the associated object's timeline activity (e.g., calls and emails) will not be affected as they are explicitly associated with that object.

Kindly,
