Deleting Deals deletes line items?

I deleted deals that had line items associated with them. I had thought these line items would continue to exsist just float in limbo but when I called the API to pull them I only found line items that were exsisting ones.

If you delete a deal do the line items associated with it also get deleted?

I don't know for sure but seeing that line items can only exist as part of deal/quote and aren't a standalone object like a contact, company, deal or ticket, it makes sense that they won't exist of the deal they are part of does not exist anymore.

Have in mind that line items and products are 2 different things (though related)

So, replying to your question

once deleted a line item from your deal/quote

this line item will not exist independently like a product will.
