Deleting Contacts not working in Outlook Sync

Hi, 

I have set up a one way sync FROM HS TO Outlook as that serves our purpose at this time. It's great that new contacts and changes to contacts in HS magically appear in Outlook. 

But, deleting contacts do not return the same result. When I delete a contact in HS, it remains in Outlook. 

How do I resolve this?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community! 

The automatic deletion of contacts is not a feature of the Outlook Data Sync Integration at this moment. You would need to work with a developer to design a custom app to automatically delete the contacts in Outlook.

If you would like to see this feature in the future, I would highly recommend submitting this product suggestion to the ideas forum.

Our product team, who monitors the forum regularly, can read your specific use case and understand why this would be a useful functionality or change. It also helps other customers facing the same issue to advocate for its implementation on your behalf by upvoting on the thread as well.

Thanks Kristen. It is an interesting one that it can't delete the contacts the same as adding and changing them. Do you know if this is resolved with a paid version of HubSpot or this integration capability gap continues?

Hi @THH,

You're welcome! This feature doesn't exist at the paid level either. The reason behind this is that the data sync apps weren't designed for deleting records, but instead for syncing data. 

I would highly recommend submitting this feedback though to the ideas forum though! I can see how having the ability to sync deleted records would be handy 🙂
