We are a supplier of Battery energy Storage systems to commercial customers.
Many of our projects (deals) require that we supply our equipment in several tranches over several months or sometimes greater.
When the Deal is closed as Won, the Deal value has only one 'Estimated revenue date', meaning it's impossible to accuratlety forecast the expected revenues in line with the project delivery milestones.
eg. Customer a gives us an order for $3m. However we will be delivering and invoicing $500K every 2 months for 12 months period.
Any suggestions on how we may be able spread the $3m over the deal delivery period?
We dont want to create individual deal(s) for each single delivery as this would require to much CRM management in the lead up to winning the deal or additional work replicating the original deal several times, which would be confusing.
Do you use an invoicing tool like Xero or Quickbooks to manage your invoices? You could potentially look at syncing your invoicing tool with HubSpot and finding a way to associate the invoices to the Deal to give you an accurate reflection of revenue earned.

I am curious about this also, for us, we often have multiple POs against one deal, they may not be regularely spread and I am wondering how we can forecast this best. Thank you!
