In a SaaS model with subscriptions and upsells, how do you manage deals and pipelines to effectively track renewals AND upsell/cross-sell opportunities?
Currently, I see two options:
Two Deals, Two Pipelines: Create a deal in a Renew pipeline and another in an Upsell/Cross-Sell pipeline.
Limits:
If the upsell/cross-sell happens during the renewal, it would be better to have everything in one deal.
Parallel management of two deals complicates the process.
One Deal, One Pipeline: Combine everything into a single pipeline.
Challenges:
Have you managed to include renewal stages and track the progress of upsells?
Which approach do you use and how do you handle these scenarios?
