Dealing with contacts with no emails

SOLVE

We have a separate Mail CRM that we use for our printed publication subscribers for whom we don't have an email. I would like to start building a more integrated system and eventually drop our old CRM - both to save money and because I believe HubSpot is a superior CRM overall.

Has anyone have experience with either importing those contacts (if it's at all possible)?

Hey @RachelRB!

For these contacts, HubSpot doesn't require an email address to bring them over.  However, without some key it'll be difficult to deduplicate on.  We don't want to create multiple Chris Bryants unless there are truly multiples for example.  Do these records have a phone number where you could potentially match to existing records in HubSpot?

We do actually collect phone numbers and mobile phone numbers so that would be a way to de-duplicate. Could we also use a postal code as a key in an import? Or even a state/province?
