Deal with multiple contacts

Is there a way to connect multiple people to a deal so that I can see the deal history in either of their contact records?

I sell wholesale to stores and often work through their education/outreach people in conjunction with store managers.  When I use upcoming events as the lead source, I need to have both parties involved from the beginning.

Yes. Inside the deal, on the left side of the page about half way down you will see Contacts. 

From there you can add additional contacts to the deal record.

I had done that but the email thread did not automatically associate to the deal.

When you add the contact (not during the initial deal creation stage), it was necessary for me to go the the added contact's activity log and associate specific items to the deal.
