Deal amount different than in quotation

Why is the amount shown in the deal always different than that in the quotation?

In the left sidebar, hover over the Deal amount field and click the Details button that appears.

I find that this reply is not 100% correct. when you add a line item to the deal, the property history of "amount" will show a manual change by that user. We are having issues with the deal amount being changed, and it's really difficult to see if a user changed it.

If you can't interpret what you're seeing, feel free to share a screenshot.

Generally, when a quote is created the deal amount updates to that of the quote. However, it can still be changed manually. It's not locked in.

Attached is one example for the quote and the deal revenue for which this
is the only quote in the deal.

It's not the history of all properties I'm referring to, just the history of the deal amount, see the steps from this link: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/view-property-history#view-historical-values-for-a-property-... (same as before, it jumps to the relevant part of the page automatically).

Thank you, @fnasr, that's it. As you can see, a user in your portal (Mary Ann Caudal) manually changed the deal amount. This was likely after the deal amount had automatically been updated by the quote.

The quote deal amount was overridden by a manual updated by Mary Ann Caudal.
