Deal Stage Conditional Logic

SOLVE

Hi Community!

I have found out that what I'm trying to achieve it's not possible so would like to have your ideas for a workaround.

I’d like to set up conditional properties within the Closed Lost Reason dropdown to capture additional details based on the selected option.

Currently, when a deal moves to the Closed Lost stage, a required dropdown property (Closed Lost Reason) appears. I’d like to enhance this by making additional fields dynamically appear depending on the selected reason.

For example:

  • If the Closed Lost Reason is "Doesn't speak English", a follow-up property like "Which language?" should be displayed for input.

I hope someone can help!

Got you @CDeMares!

These are two different things - one is a pipeline setting the other a property logic setting.

  1. In the pipeline settings you make the "closed lost reason" property mandatory when a deal is moved to closed lost stage.
  2. In the property logic setting you then add your conditional logic depending on which answer is selected by a sales rep for the close lost reason property.

That should do the trick.

Hi @CDeMares

That can be done via conditional property logic in the property settings:

You essentially start defining the property and choice - Closed Lost Reason is "Doesn't speak English" and then select which other Deal property should be displayed, see dummy example below.

Then just repeat that process for the closed lost reason options for which you prompt/present additional properties to be completed.

Hi @franksteiner79 - Thanks for your prompt response!

However when trying to edit closed lost deal stage it wouldn't allow me - this is what is showing:

and when clicking on "edit in pipeline settings" it takes me to the pipeline settings and when choosing the deal stage I don't get the controlling and conditional property options you get (based on your screenshot)

May this be limited to a certain susbscription? we have sales pro
