Deal Board Summary View – Limited Permissions vs Full Pipeline Access

If I limit my sales reps' permissions so they can only view their own deals, how will the summary at the top of the deal board view behave? Will it only reflect their own deals, or all deals in the pipeline?

I'm encouraging them to actively use that summary section — do I need to give them access to all deals in the pipeline for that summary to be meaningful?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @ozgesilla,

Reports in HubSpot (and, as far as I know, the deal insights are considered reports in the background) reflect only data from the records a user can see. In other words, a user should only see deal insights based on the record they can access.

You can confirm by logging in as a user to see what they're seeing: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/log-in-as-another-hubspot-user

You could still encourage them to review this information – it depends on what insights they're supposed to generate from this. If they're supposec to compare against general benchmarks in your portal, then yes, view access to all deals are likely required.

Best regards!
