I wonder, what are the best practices when deactivating users in HubSpot? What are some things to do or remember? What are the tips & tricks?
Here's my list to check off before deactivating users in HubSpot:
Remove Paid seats (otherwise the Paid Seat will remain with the deactivated user)
Check workflows and lists/views to see if any automations and filters rely on these specific users (and if so, replace the workflow actions)
Reassign ownership for all contacts/companies/active deals to the new owners
Reassign ownershipofdashboards or transfer specific reports to different dashboards
Of course, the checklist also depends on the tools the user used (e.g., if they were in the Customer Service team, then we would need to make sure that the ticket pipeline will be updated etc.)
Hi! This list is impressive. I also suggest checking the ownership of the meeting links. I had an issue with that because the ownership wasn't transferred before deactivating the user, and Support had to jump in. It would've been avoided if the ownership had been transferred before.
