Date picker can't be typed in

Why the date picker on forms doesn't allow to be typed in? We must ask our customers to place in their year of birth, and now on computer they have to scroll back month-by-month! This has been asked elsewhere but hasn't been solved.

Hi @JSumuvuori,

 

If you're just after year of birth, not specific date, perhaps try a drop-down list on your form, where customers can select from a list of e.g. 1950 to 2022?

Unfortunately we need a full date of birth with year. Seems to be a commonplace need. Phones work fine, with a phone you can click the year and choose it from there, but on computer that doesn't work. It's an inconvenience to many of our customers. 30% of them would likely fill the form on computer at work. Three drop downs, one of day, one for month, and one for year sounds cumbersome also.
