Hello,

I've upload my list of accounts and I'd like to differentiate prospects form customers.

The Type property's list doesn't include the "customer" category.

Is there another way to do that?

thanks

Hi, @Micaela,

You can do this in a couple of ways.

First, by default, there is a customer status under Lifecycle Stage. If you change this to customer, you will be able to differentiate your prospects and current customers.

Another way to accomplish this is to create a custom property that contains specifically your differentiation options and select accordingly.

Here's a link to explain the creation of custom properties.

If you need assistance, please feel free to book time on my calendar.

Hi Micaela, Josh's solution is a good one. I'd recommend building your lead management framework on the lead status property (Josh's first suggestion).

In addition, if there is any way to denote where the prospects are in the sales process, you are going to want to do that. For instance, of the prospects:

  • Which ones have you had contact with in the past?
  • Which companies are you currently in talks with?
  • Which accounts are you currently prospecting into?
  • Which accounts are partners vs. prospects and customers?
  • Which ones turned you down and chose a different provider?

You'll want to build out your lead status property to accomodate these phases of the sales process.

 Hi @MWatson7

Using filtered views of your companies or contacts will give you a high-level view.

Currently there aren't tags with colors available on contacts or companies.

Hi Josh,

can this be done at a high level, so there is no need to drill down to find if the company is/isn't a customer? For example having the entries show as differ colours would be one way of instantly differentiating. Is there any high level differentiation?
