Custom Equation: Deal Amount * Deal Percentage Likelihood

SOLVE

Hi all,

we would like to create a custom property which is calculating the Deal Amount multiplied with the Deal Percentage Likelihood. I was able to create the property but it doesnt calculate any number. The prefered outcome would be currency. Does anybody had a smiliar issue and can help me here?

Please see a screenshot from my calculation property below. You can also see there that the smaple output has no value...

Custom Equation: Deal Amount * Deal Percentage Likelihood

Hi Inka! I'm not too sure about the string to number - it might be that your value also includes the "%" sign so that might confuse the formula.

I'd recommend the probability field - you can set this percentage up directly on deal stages in the sales pipeline settings or manually override these values through workflows or manual input.

If you do go with this property instead as Trevor has mentioned, the Forecast Amount property in HubSpot would calculate what you need without you having to use a custom calculated property. 🙂

Hi,

This percentage is a dropdown field:

I thought the function "string-to-number" would solve the issue that it´s not a number field type. But then I got no output as I described above.

I recognized the property "propability" in the meantime as well, so I think we can use this one. But nevertheless I would be interested why this calculation is not working to do it better for future requirements 🙂

Kind regards

Inka

Hi @IEbert

HubSpot already has a standard property that does this called "Forecast Amount."  There should be no need to create this property.

Hope this helps!

Hi Inka, what is the field type of this property? It would only work if its a number field type.

If not, would you be able to share some context as to how this percentage is calculated?

HubSpot does have a similar standard property called Probability as well which you may be able to use - depending on your requirements.

Hiya have you tried removing the orange text and just have the formula a direct multiplication of amount * deal percentage likelihood? What happens then?
