SOLVE

Hi,

Our contacts' surnames are being duplicated when they are created - why is that and what can we do about it?

Any help super appreciated!

Thanks

Contact surname duplication

Hi @KStrydom,

You can see the issue right there: Zapier is passing on first and last name in the first name field. You'd have to investigate how your Zapier integration is set up to fix this.

Best regards!

Hi @KStrydom,

Could you double check where exactly the surname is duplicated? The First name field or the Last name field? You can see this information on a contact record.

Find a contact record, scroll down and find View all properties in the left sidebar. Now search for "name" and hover over first and last name. By clicking Details you can see which user or tool made the change to one of the two fields:

Can you check and report back, ideally with a screenshot?

Best regards

Hi Karsten. Thanks for helping me with this!

I went into a contact:

It has it in both fields for some reason:

Thanks!
