Conditional Logic on Property

SOLVE

We have a lead status for "bad timing" and I want another property to be filled in for date to re-engage when the rep selects this property. Is this possible? I know they can create a task but I want it to be mandatory...

Hi @SKerrigan5

Yes, you can do that in the property settings:

Simply select the lead status property and the value "bad iming" and then the second property they have to fill in.

Hi @SKerrigan5 ,

Yes, you can set up conditional logic in Hubspot to require a date to reengage field when bad timing is selected as lead status

Settings > Properties > Conditional property logic tab > Create logic > Click required box to make it mandatory > Save Logic

You're asking the right question! Making follow-up smoother and consistent is key. HubSpot doesn’t currently let you make a property required based on another property’s value out of the box. But here's a workaround that’s worked for me:

Set up a workflow that’s triggered when Lead Status = Bad Timing. Then use an If/Then branch to check if the "Date to Re-Engage" field is blank. If it is, send a task or internal email to the rep saying, “Hey! Don’t forget to fill in the re-engagement date.”

It's not a hard requirement like a form field, but it catches most misses. If you're on Ops Hub Pro, you could even throw in a custom-coded action to enforce it more tightly. Let me know if you want help sketching it out.
