Our organization fell out of using hubspot. As a new employee, I was charged with picking it back up. We have had companies added to our hubspot instance during the time no one was using it. There is no "source information" for these companies. How do we find out how the companies got added to the database?
There is a property called "Original Source" you should be able to view this on the company record, if it isn't on the left sidebar you'll be able to see it by clicking "View all properties" and searching Original Source. You can learn more about the original source property here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/understand-source-properties
There are also other ways of seeing the origination of an object. If you go to the activities feed, and scroll all the way to the bottom you'll see how it was created OR you can click on "Details" on the "Create Date" property and you'll see how it was created.
