I measure Companies as the account and think of my prospects that way (commercial insurance agency) and i'm trying to get the pipeline stages (i setup custom Deal Stages to fit our model) tied to company so i can see a list of companies and what stage they are. (contacts makes no sense as contacts leave but the money comes from the company) i cant see how to do that on company view it's not an option to add deal stage property Should i not be using Deal stages but different property to track the pipeline? I have custom names and number of steps in the pipeline that reflects the insurance sales process but i'm happy to put those somewhere else - i see hubspot has Type; lifecycle; etc.
There is a workaround here but you will need Marketing subscrption for that: 1. Create a company custom properties : Deal Stage 2. Set up workflows that automatically update this custom property based on the Deal Stage changes. 3. Use filters to create a view on company dashboard that includes the custom property you created.

To add to @DSharma02's comment, you could also use sync properties that copy data to associated records! This could copy the associated Deal stage to the Company without the need for a workflow 😊
