Can you save a task and not have it auto-complete?
the new interface automatically 'completes' a task when you save it. Can you turn this off??
Tasks aren't necessarily complete when you save. For example, if i have a prospect I am following up with, I will use notes section to track my activities and then i will push Task down the road as needed.
No where can I find even a mention of the auto-complete functionality in support documentation.
Hello, I am having the same issue. I use tasks as reminders but whenever I call out the task will auto complete and I do not want to risk losing a solid prospect.
Hello @MelindaNelson I am having this issue. When I go to call a prospect with the task to call it will auto complete the task, but most of the time I am using it as a reminder so that I do not forget about the prospect. Is there a way to turn off the auto completetion of tasks on hubspot?
This is working as expected. It's designed to complete the task, but if you would like to create another task to follow up, you can select the "create a task to follow up" checkbox.
If you would like the ability to make a call without completing the task, you can post this request in HubSpot's Ideas Forum. This is a great platform for communicating feature requests to our Product Team. It also allows other customers to up-vote and comment on the idea. As a result, it helps us better prioritize features that are having the greatest impact on our customers.
The auto-complete is super annoying. Someone might want to log a call which did not connect and he might by mistake complete an important, unfinished task. Is it meanwhile possible to disable the completion?
We are setting tasks automatically for the sales team to follow up with customers and monitoring if they have completed them (if they have actually contacted the individual). The auto-complete is ruining this as tasks are set automatically to complete when they are not if they update the task. If they created a follow-up task I have no way of monitoring it in my dashboard to check if they ever followed up with the customer.
I also find this terribly un-productive. Sometimes I just want to add a note without completing a task, also because the task note has valuable information. Please help with this
