Can't create a filter for a custom field.

I've created a custom field called 'Lead Source' and I want to create a filter to see all the leads from a specific trade show. When I add a new filter, select my field, and click 'contains exactly,' I am unable to type anything in the text box. I get a red circle with a line through it when I mouse over the text box. What am I missing?

That's what I thought as well but when I try to enter text, I get this red circle with a line through it and cannot type anything.

@NEnd it looks like you're first trying to click, then to type. You need to

1. Type whatever lead source you want to filter for
2. Hit Enter

The type is single line text. I am clicking on 'advanced filters' on the 'contacts' screen. I included a screenshot below.

Which type does your property have? (checkboxes, single-line text etc) Where exactly are you trying to add the filter?
