Can't Add Phone Number as a Field Type

Hi, I', trying to create a custom field to add a phone number but it doesn't give me the option to select 'Phone Number' as a field type. I tried to use the Number fields but then I wouldn't be able to add the "+" sign for area code. Please help.

Hey @TCastillo1, thanks for reaching out! This is a great question!

Unfortunately, you aren't currently able to create a "Phone number" type property even though the default phone number properties use it. However, you're not the only user looking for this functionality! I strongly encourage you to upvote that post and share your thoughts and use case in the comments. One of the commenters mentioned that there's a beta for this functionality, though I'm not seeing an official comment from HubSpot. The property type does exist, so I'm hoping that this will be rolled out to accounts in the near future.

In the meantime, you can use a number property or a single-line text property, but you'll be limited in formatting and requirements.
