Can specific property fields be filtered out of left side panel based on record type?

We want to filter OUT Property Fields which are NOT relevant to the type of Customer being entered. IE: A Company = Apartment Management Company. 

We want specific property fields visible based on the Company being a Apartment Management Company vs. an entry being a Apartment Community (specific location) which will have several exclusive property fields.

Is there a 'check box' filter option we can add to filter out the noted set up functionality... ?
