Can I create a custom customer field that track package deliveries?
SOLVE
Hello,
I'm working on a marketing campaign right now where we would like to send our customers packages. We are considering using shipstation or zappier to track our packages, and I wanted to know if there was a way to build a custom contact field called package delivered that would auto-populate when the package was delivered.
The purpose of this field would be for us to run package delivery reports, but it would also help us create custom reports so we can measure the success of this marketing campaign.

Thanks @JenWeiss. @CSchecter I have not personally used Zapier for this exact situation. However, if there's a property in your shipping tool that has a "yes or no" feature, you could build a custom "single checkbox" property and zap the YES into it. That seems to be a straightforward scenario you could map.
Hope that helps confirm!

Based on your use case, I don't know whether a property is your answer here. Would it be possible for your customer to receive multiple packges? If yes, then what you are described is a Custom Data Object (CDO) which is a joined table that can connect things like Orders to a single customer (ie: you may shop at a store multiple times and have a history). Also is this an order or a gift you are sending. If it is a gift, there are platforms specifically for this use case from companies like Sendoso or Alyce. But even with those I don't know whether you can get delivery status as carriers could vary (ie: UPS, Fedex, DHL, or the many others).
To your considerations, I am not familiar with Shipstation, but Zaiper I am. Zaiper is an integration between systems so if there is a Zap built it could easy to setup, but if not then you would have to figure out a way to get the systems to talk which may not be easy.

I understand that you are looking to have the ability to use an app like Zapier to integrate within HubSpot to track packages that have been delivered by mapping it with your account by a custom property. I would like to tag in some of our experts on this @HubDoPete, @Ben_M and @danmoyle. Would you be able to lend some advice to @CSchecter on the Zapier integration?
