I am trying to calculate TOTAL cumulative time in my deal stages that we consider "working a deal". Since we have "Qualified Lead" as Stage 0 (no I don't want advice on this part) I want to calculate cumulative time in the following stages Discovery, Solicitation, Decision Making, and Contracting.
I thought this would be possible with a custom calculation, but my output was not calculating.
HubSpot just introduced this, no need for a custom property 🙂
Deals
Deal Stage Calculated Properties
Mar 14, 2024
What is it?
Professional or Enterprise customers will now have access to four (4) new HubSpot-defined deal properties, to track the progression of a deal as it moves through a sales pipeline:
Date entered {stage id}
Date exited {stage id}
Latest time in {stage id}
Cumulative time in {stage id}
Rollout will begin in early March and eligible customers will receive access on a rolling basis.
Why does it matter?
With access to these properties, you can easily identify bottlenecks in your sales process. For example, you can assess a deal pipeline's velocity by looking at the average "latest time" and "cumulative time" of each deal stage.
How does it work?
These properties will be automatically updated as a deal moves through a pipeline. You can:
View the history of these properties on any deal record
Use the properties in reporting, to gain deeper insights into how your business is converting deals
Build the properties into automated workflows, to scale your sales process (e.g. when "latest time in {stage id}" > 3 days, send follow up email)
Thanks for the quick reply. I should have been more specific, I am trying to add up all the cumulative time in those stages since HubSpot introduced the individual time in each stage. Does that make sense?
Cumulative time in "Discovery" Stage + Cumulative time in "Solicitation" Stage+Cumulative time in "Decision Making" Stage+Cumulative time in "Contractice" Stage
This will then give me a TOTAL time in working stages in my pipeline.
