CRM pushes notifications when I view email sent to a client

After I send an email to a customer from inside HubSpot, their replies come back to my normal inbox in my email client. Every time I view their replies, HubSpot seems to think the customer opened the email and pushes a notification.
Any way to restrict notifications to when the recipient opens the email, not the sender?
