CRM contact requires domain?

SOLVE

Hello, new to Hubspot,

Question re entering new contacts to the CRM. Why, if I'm trying to link my contact to an organisation, does the organisation need to be linked to a domain? I have a few contacts that are working within organisations that don't websites, so don't have their own domains. Is there a way I can add an organisation without a domain?

CRM contact requires domain?

SOLVE

At this time HubSpot CRM only associates contacts and companies automatically via the domain name.

Please accept this solution if this solves your problem

CRM contact requires domain?

SOLVE

Hi @Havequestions

As @HubSpotMaster  says, HubSpot's facility to automatically create and associate companies is dependant on domain names being present.

However, you are free to also manually create contacts, companies and associations between them without a domain name being present.

Hope this helps.
