Business to business and business to consumer

SOLVE

We have two parts to our business sales: business to business and business to consumer. Can I have two separate HubSpot implementations associated with the same domain?

Hey @ajrothman -- Sorry for the slow response.

Since HubSpot CRM is free, you are welcome to create multiple portals, and they can all use the same domain. If you're a user in both portals, then when you log in to HubSpot, you'll be asked which portal you want to access.

NOTE: The information in the two portals will be completely separate, and there won't be any way to aggregate them together. If you need everything in one spot, you're better off using the methods you currently have in place.

Hey @ajrothman HubSpot acounts are set up on a unique domain basis. How exactly do you plan to use HubSpot day-to-day, as much detail as possible will help the Community answer your question.

We sell training to corporates (our business to business clients) and then also offer our clients staff and other individual clients a financial wellness programme (our businss to consumer part of the business).

We are finding that the changes we are making to the standard implementation of HubSpot accross contact fields, corporate fields, deal fields etc. are just so different for our two types of clients that it would really be simpler if we just had two seperate instances within which to work. For example on the individual client side we have fields for monthly income, credit rating, partner/spouse income and credit rating, school that kids attend etc. all of which are not applicable to our corporate clients.

To work around this at this stage we have created a client type field that can be either individual or corporate and are getting by but it just seems that every query/report etc. starts with us having to do this and it is difficult to tailor column choices that are appropriate.

Would more info help or does this start to give some flavour of the issue that we are facing (and this is still early days for us).

I want to use the Sales Starter now but only when companies go to my site HubSpot recognizes them. What happens to the consumers in my Contact List and Deals? They are mostly consumers now. Is HubSpot only for B2B?
